A Session is More than a Massage by Heidi – somatic coach, bodyworker, energy weaver, intuitive nudger, and forever student of the human body

If you’ve been in my orbit for a while, you already know I’m not someone you book because you want “60 minutes of X” or “90 minutes of Y.” My work doesn’t fit in a service menu because you don’t fit in a service menu.

Everything I offer is relational.
Everything is woven.
Everything is designed to bring you home to yourself.

So if someone sent you this because you’re curious about my work – welcome. Here’s what it’s like to work with me.

I See You as a Whole Person (Not a Problem to Fix)

We start by slowing down enough to hear what your body has been trying to say, not just through pain or tension, but through holding patterns, emotional currents, and the quieter truths living below the surface.

What’s here matters:

  • your stories
  • your patterns
  • your conditioning
  • your tenderness
  • your brilliance
  • the parts of you you’ve outgrown
  • and the parts of you that are trying to emerge

Whether it’s a coaching session, bodywork, or something beautifully in-between, we work with sensation, energy, emotion, identity, and possibility, the whole ecosystem of your lived experience.

This isn’t a modality. It’s a whole-person experience.

Somatics Is the Thread That Runs Through Everything

Somatics isn’t an “add-on” in my sessions. It’s the lens I see through and listen through.

It shapes how I:

  • track your nervous system
  • follow your body’s impulses instead of your mind’s demands
  • listen for the subtle ways your energy speaks before words arrive
  • ask questions that reveal what’s living underneath
  • support you in coming back to your felt sense

This isn’t therapy. This isn’t advice-giving. This isn’t me telling you how to live your life.

This is learning to stay with yourself – to sense, respond, and choose from a deeper place of knowing.

We Work With Your Whole System, Including Your Energy

Gently, intuitively, and without the performance.

The energetic layer has been woven into my work from the beginning – I’ve just stopped hiding it under a polite napkin.

It’s sometimes the float-away, glitter-in-the-air kind of magic. But more often, it’s the come-back-into-your-body kind.

The kind that helps you sense yourself more clearly, regulate with more ease, and move through the world with grounded clarity.

For some, it shows up as an intuitive energy reading. For others, it feels like finally hearing their own inner voice again.

Either way, it’s always in service of helping your whole system come into coherence.

We Track What’s Beneath the Surface

Working with me means we get curious about:

  • why your shoulders won’t relax (even after six massages)
  • why you’re exhausted while “doing everything right”
  • why you keep repeating emotional or relational patterns
  • what your body knows that your brain hasn’t caught up to

We look beneath symptoms, not to diagnose but to understand. We follow the micro-sensations, the impulses, the constrictions, and the openings that tell the real story.

This is where deep transformation happens – not at the surface, but in the subtle.

What a Session Actually Looks Like (And Why the Conversation Matters)

People sometimes imagine that the “real work” happens only once you’re on the table. Like the talking part is a warm-up and the bodywork is the main event.

In my world, it doesn’t work that way.

A session is a living conversation between you, your body, and what’s present in the moment, and every part of that conversation matters.

Here’s a loose outline of how a session often unfolds (with plenty of room for intuition and what your system actually needs that day):

We begin by arriving. Not rushing. Not jumping straight into fixing anything. We slow down together and check in. What’s been happening in your body? What’s loud? What’s quiet? What feels tender, charged, stuck, or newly alive?

This isn’t small talk. This is valuable information. Your words, pauses, tone, and nervous system are already telling a story.

Then we listen beneath the words. As you speak, I’m tracking sensation, breath, energy, and pattern; not just what you’re saying, but how your system is holding it.

Often something emerges here that hasn’t had language yet. A boundary that’s been crossed. A grief that hasn’t been metabolized. A desire that’s been waiting patiently in the background. Sometimes this part alone creates a shift.

From there, we let the body lead. That might mean getting on the table. It might mean staying seated. It might mean a somatic practice, stillness, touch, sound, or intuitive energy work.

The hands-on work isn’t separate from the conversation – it’s a continuation of it. Your tissues respond to being seen just as much as they respond to being touched.

We always come back to what unraveled. Before you leave, we integrate. We name what changed, what softened, what became clearer. Not to analyze it to death, but to help your system recognize itself in a new way.

This is where the work roots.

Because when your mind understands why something shifted, not just that it did, it becomes available to you in real life: in relationships, boundaries, decisions, and rest.

The conversation and the table are partners. One doesn’t work without the other.

**I Don’t Fix. I Don’t Diagnose. I Don’t Perform. But I Help You Come Back to Yourself.**

Together, we build your capacity to:

  • feel without getting overwhelmed
  • choose without abandoning yourself
  • pause rather than react
  • stay with your own energy
  • move toward what matters
  • soften where life has hardened you

People don’t walk away simply “feeling better.” They walk away understanding themselves in a way that reshapes the way they live, love, lead, and relate.

My Work Is Evolving, And So Am I

Even with my new somatic certifications, I feel like I’m just beginning. Every year I become clearer that transformation doesn’t come from stacking more modalities.

It comes from depth. From presence. From attunement. From following what is true right now instead of repeating what used to work.

My work is not expanding outward – it’s expanding inward: more honest, more integrated, more refined.

And I love that. It keeps this path alive.

What I Need From You (Because This Work Is a Collaboration)

Working with me is not a passive experience.

It’s not “come in, fix me, make it go away.” It’s a space we co-create together.

Some days the work is deep. Some days the work is subtle. Some days the most healing thing you can do is rest on the table and let your system recalibrate.

And sometimes the work invites you to meet a truth you’ve been avoiding. This can feel uncomfortable – not because anything is wrong, but because you’re growing.

You don’t need to be fearless. You don’t need to be “good at embodiment.”

You just need to be willing:

  • willing to notice
  • willing to feel
  • willing to get curious
  • willing to stay with yourself a little more each time

If you’re willing, we can do beautiful work.

3 Ways to Work With Me

Below are the three pathways into my world:

  1. Community and Private Group Gatherings
  2. 1:1 Work
  3. Transformational Containers (3-12 months)

🌿 Community Events

Community gatherings are one of the simplest ways to get to know me and my work. They’re low-to-no-cost, lightly facilitated spaces where you can experience somatic practice without committing to anything long-term. Think of them as a sample, an opportunity to feel how I work, how I hold space, and how your body responds. You’re welcome to come once, come often, or just come when it feels right. No fixing, no performing; just practice, presence, and community.

🌿 One-on-One Sessions (Book As Needed)

Most people begin here. Come once a month or as your system calls.

These sessions weave somatic coaching, bodywork, intuitive guidance and every other technique I have in my back pocket. Each session meets you where you are and supports what’s emerging.

A great option for:

  • ongoing support
  • maintenance
  • gentle exploration
  • learning your body’s language

🌿 Longer Transformational Containers (3, 6, and 12 Months)

For those ready for deeper, sustained transformation.

Somatic Coaching + Bodywork Container

Think of these as long-term relational containers where we work with the deeper architecture of your soma, conditioning, emotional armoring, nervous system capacity, relational patterns, and the parts of you ready to shift.

Lasting change takes time. Six months is the minimum for real, embodied transformation to root. This is where we build your capacity, not just relieve symptoms.

👉Start with a Discovery Call

1:1 Psychedelic Integration + Facilitation (Micro or Macro) Minimum 3 months

Rooted in trauma-informed somatic principles and Embody Lab training, this pathway supports you through preparation, facilitation (if appropriate), and integration.

We work with intention, nervous system safety, resourcing, meaning-making, pattern awareness, and embodied integration.

Minimum commitment: 3 months, because this work asks for time, containment, and support.

👉Schedule a Screening Call

If you’re feeling the pull, but not sure where to start…

Your body usually knows before your mind does. Not another project. Not another self-improvement sprint. Just the quiet knowing that something in you is ready.

If you want to explore working together, the easiest next step is to book a 1:1 session, join Gather and Ground (free community event), or schedule a discovery call. It’s low commitment. High clarity. A chance to feel the work in your body.

This work is relational and intentional. It asks for presence, curiosity, and a felt yes. If something in your body responds when you read about it, trust that. If it’s not a clear yes yet, that’s okay too. Timing is part of the work.

Your becoming matters. And I’d be honored to walk with you.
